This project builds on the “Opportunities for Young People” initiative carried out between 2021 and 2023. That earlier project focused on strengthening young people’s skills in areas such as job seeking, financial literacy, and environmental awareness, while also developing the working methods and national and international cooperation of Leader Ravakka’s youth group.

Young people are eager to contribute to regional development. Roots of Tomorrow aims to foster a sense of pride in rural youth for their roots and local communities, while also preparing them for the future. The project offers opportunities for rural youth to network both nationally and internationally, get inspired by the potential of rural areas, and deepen their understanding and knowledge of sustainable development and lifestyle.

All young people aged 13 to 29 in the Ravakka region who are interested in local development, civic participation, international cooperation, entrepreneurship, and advancing sustainability are welcome to take part in the project’s activities.
