Implementation Period: February 6, 2025 – December 31, 2027
Budget: The total project budget is €122,000, of which 95% is covered by public funding.
Objectives
The project aims to strengthen associations’ capacity in developing voluntary work, reducing administrative burden and attracting new volunteers. As a result, associations will gain a better understanding of what motivates people to volunteer and what obstacles may prevent participation. At the same time, methods will be tested to engage new groups, especially young people, and to simplify associations’ administration.
The project implements Leader Ravakka’s Luotsi strategy under the theme Smart Together. It enhances the renewal capacity of local associations, brings together different age and resident groups, and strengthens digital skills. In line with the strategy, youth participation and forms of voluntary work that match their wishes play a central role.
Project activities and results
The project will organize information sessions and trainings in all Ravakka municipalities. In addition, pilot projects will be carried out to explore villagers’ motivational factors, develop youth cooperation, and test ways to reduce administrative burden in associations. Surveys and studies will be conducted in the area to better understand both the reasons for engaging in voluntary work and the barriers to participation.
Study visits, workshops, and international cooperation will support the exchange of best practices and lessons learned among partner countries. Through this cooperation, a toolbox will be created to compile proven solutions for making voluntary work easier.
