SUMMARY AND PUBLIC PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Nordic Preparedness project focuses on strengthening the ability of rural communities to respond to and recover from both natural and human‑caused crises. The aim is to improve the overall resilience of civil society in the rural areas covered by the project.
The project is international in nature and is also implemented in cooperation with other Finnish Leader groups.
Project activities mainly involve the exchange of knowledge and expertise with Swedish partners. As a result of the project, a cooperation plan will be developed together with the project partners, and support for preparedness in the villages of the Ravakka area will be outlined.
As an outcome of the project, a network will be established whose activities and cooperation will continue after the project ends. The network will facilitate the exchange of good practices. A total of 30 actors from our region will participate in the project’s five study trips. The project will also produce a digital compilation of good practices.
The project implements the priority Smart Together. An Smart Village strategy focusing on international cooperation and network operations will be developed within the project. The project meets the set selection criteria.
